Founder & Lineage

Parampara

Transcendental knowledge (divya-jñāna) means knowledge received through parampara, through disciplic succession.

Brahmā is the first guru of the whole universe, since he received the knowledge first from the Supreme Lord. The parampara that came from Brahmā’s disciples is called the Brahma-sampradāya. We belong to a rich culture and spiritual lineage of the Brahma-Madhva-Gauḍīya Sampradāya.

All the ācāryas in this succession stand on the śikṣā (instruction) they received from their predecessor ācārya.

Through parampara we serve our guru, because by fulfilling the guru’s desire the Lord’s desire is fulfilled.
